Trinidad and Tobago produces phenomenal storytellers- on every single street corner, in every lime, and in every medium. However, amongst the naturally gifted there are Geniuses, and the SEASON OF ANANSI Folklore Festival will be honouring 3 generations of Genius, starting with a King and Queen of the form.

Paul Keens Douglas is possibly the greatest ambassador and craftsman of the Oral Tradition in Trinidad & Tobago's modern Age. He has to his credit 9 books, 15 albums, 3 videos, 16 CDs and 2 DVDs! Auntie Thea has been performing traditional Folklore storytelling using the ancestral forms of stories from Africa, Asia, and Native America for decades. She has ritually toured schools and hosted gatherings at her old Zoo Road home-theatre. Both storytellers have sustained the flame of Storytelling in its purest form for generations.

The ceremony will also honour the current generation- the best online influencer Storytellers carrying on the incredible tradition of Caribbean Storytelling- Roger Alexis of Santana fame, Ro'Dey, & others...
